Tamil Nadu assembly elections 2026: AIADMK's Edappadi K Palaniswami secures 1.38 lakh votes, leads by over 90,000

He served as an MP (1998-1999) and held the critical Highways and Public Works portfolios before being elevated to chief minister (2017-2021) following a period of internal party transition.
