But that didn't happen when Vijay expanded his cabinet. Meanwhile, four of the rebel MLAs who were facing the risk of action under the anti-defection law resigned as legislators and joined TVK. Subsequently, most of the remaining rebel MLAs patched up with the General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami, who in turn withdrew the petition seeking the speaker to take action against them.Munusamy, who has been supporting Palaniswami on the issue, had earlier stated that the AIADMK would never support the TVK."Palaniswami has refused to meet the Chief Minister, and it was not that Vijay did not make an attempt to meet him," Nirmal Kumar told reporters in Chennai.
