Why FIFA World Cup tickets aren't selling out in Toronto

This place has erupted.

Cyle Larin has been on the pitch for two minutes after a substitution and finds the equalizer! We're tied in Toronto!

With under 20 minutes to go, can Canada find an equalizer to avoid a seventh World Cup games all-time?

With a slender lead, Bosnia makes two more substitutions, bringing on Amar Memić and exciting prospect Kerim Alajbegović.

I asked our colleague and soccer expert Chris Jones what it’s going to take for Canada to score here.

His answer, basically: They’re doing everything they can. Hard to get closer than that scoring chance that went off the bar.

Spotted: Canadian comedy icon Mike Myers watching the match while rocking a sick red and white bucket hat.

Canada has had the visitors on the back foot the past six or so minutes, but some desperate Bosnian defending and some close calls have kept them off the scoresheet.

Every time a Canadian player has the ball at his boot in the second half the fans have been shouting for him to shoot. It's like a giant scream: "Shooooooooooooooot!"

Canada's racking up the chances, but still has nothing to show for it.

Bosnia-Herzegovina made their own two substitutions at the same time as Canada. Among the players pulled is the goalscorer Jovo Lukić, who made a decent case for himself as Bosnia-Herzegovina's top performer today.

Ivan Bašić was also subbed off. Samed Baždar and Armin Gigović were the two players who came on.

At Toronto Stadium, almost every Canada fan on the upper deck on the south end has been on their feet for the entire second half.

At the opposite end, Bosnia's fans are swaying and clapping — you can see the Plexiglas windows underneath shaking.

These teams are locked in a battle and the fans are appreciating it.

Mike Mosher, head coach of the men's soccer team at the University of British Columbia, says he hopes Canada can come back after that rocky first half and at least get a draw.

"So, hopefully, we can carve our way back out of this."
