An ship's officer was in earnest injured after beingness struck by an allegedly stolen vehicle patch the device driver was attempting to flee police on Leaside Bridge early Monday morning, Toronto police say.
Officers were responding to a call about a stolen vehicle near Donlands Avenue and O'Connor Drive just after 1 a.m., Toronto police said in a post on social media.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle, then fired shots at it, before the driver struck an officer and fled, police said. The officer was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Officers later located the vehicle and its driver, who was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
One suspect is still outstanding, police said, but no descriptive details were provided.
