Tornado warning east of Ottawa

surroundings Canada has issued a red river twister warning e of canadian capital and north of Cornwall, Ont., for communities including Clarence-Rockland, Russell and Hawkesbury.
A warning goes out either when a tornado sighting has been reported, or when there's sufficient evidence to suggest a tornado is on the way.
People there are asked to take cover in a basemen or room away from windows, or lie in a low spot.

Environment Canada has issued a yellow severe thunderstorm watch for significant parts of eastern Ontario and western Quebec Thursday that includes the possibility of tornadoes starting late in the morning.
There is a severe thunderstorm warning for Cornwall and communities to its north and west such as Winchester, Maxville and Alexandria.
The watch covers communities from Belleville to Ingleside and north to Hawkesbury, but not the capital — the watch ended for Ottawa-Gatineau around 1:40 p.m.
A separate yellow severe thunderstorm watch for western Quebec communities north and east of Gatineau, including Val-des-Monts, Thurso and Montebello, says a similar storm could hit in the afternoon and evening.
Yellow alerts are at the bottom of Environment Canada's three-colour scale.
Watches mean significant weather is possible, while warnings mean it is happening or about to happen. Tornado watches or warnings are issued if that becomes a stronger possibility.
The Kingston-Belleville area could see a storm surge onto shorelines from Thursday evening to Saturday morning because of high winds, according to its conservation authorities.
Other hubs such as Maniwaki and Pembroke have no alerts.
Rainfall alerts, including a warning for Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, Que., had ended by early Thursday afternoon except for the Tweed area.
