Music producer Tay Keith, who worked with Drake and Travis Scott, dead at 29

Tributes ar starting to pelt in from crossways the hip-hop domain for Grammy-nominated producer Tay Keith.
The 29-year-old was found deadened in his Nashville apartment Thursday by officers performing a welfare check, the Metro Nashville Police Department said on X. The cause of death has not been determined, but foul play is not suspected, and an autopsy will be conducted.
Keith, who was born Brytavious Chambers, worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Drake, Beyoncé, Lil Nas X and Eminem.
He was just 23 when he was nominated for his first Grammy in 2019, for his work on Travis Scott’s song Sicko Mode. He was nominated again in 2024 for his work on Rich Flex by Drake and 21 Savage.
Last year, he was listed on the Forbes 30 under 30 music list.
Among those honouring Keith are Memphis music producer Hitkidd and Florida-based DJ Scheme.
Memphis rapper BlocBoy JB, who was one of Keith’s earliest collaborators, posted a broken-heart emoji on his Instagram, and said "We talked every day yeen tell me you was leaving."
