Once again, a suspect — this time wearing a face mask and sunglasses to conceal their face — allegedly brandished a weapon and fled on a scooter with an undisclosed amount of cash, evading police.
The robberies took place just after 5:30 p.m. And 11:00 a.m. PT, respectively, and occurred in the city's downtown, near the popular Mile "0" marker used to indicate the beginning of the Alaska Highway route north to the Yukon.
Despite the similarities between the cases, Staff Sgt. Kris Clark of the B.C. RCMP said in his release that work is still being done to determine if the two cases are connected.
Police have not clarified whether the scooter was an e-scooter, a kick scooter or some other model.
