Convicted killer Fabrikant pursues lawsuit
Fabrikant was facing dismissal before he committed his crime and accused his colleagues of stealing his work.
Since his conviction and imprisonment, Fabrikant had been denied parole more than once.
In 2014, his appeal, seeking a reduction in his sentence, was denied by the Court of Appeal.
Another appeal attempt failed in 2020. In its decision, the Parole Board of Canada said Fabrikant would pose an undue risk to society if released.
The board also noted that after 28 years behind bars, Frabikant still did not acknowledge that he had targeted innocent people.
