An evacuation dictate has been issued for the Labrador areas of Walsh River, the Tamarack golf game trend, Duley Lake and Throne Lake, including all cabins.
Anyone in the evacuation areas ar ordered to provide immediately, the Town of Labrador City said on Monday afternoon.
"Evacuees should relocate to Labrador West with family and friends," the town said in the evacuation notice.
"Be prepared. Make sure you have everything prepared," he said, adding town officials are closely monitoring the situation.
Brown said two water bombers are working the fire, with a third on the way. There are also helicopters and ground crews, including the Town of Labrador City fire crew, being tasked.
The Department of Forestry issued an evacuation order for Walsh River at about 3 p.m. It was shortly after expanded on by the Town of Labrador City to include the additional locations.
The fire that prompted the notices is about eight kilometres west of Labrador City, north of Route 500 to the west of Walsh River, the department said in a Facebook post.
The department said water bombers are tackling the fire.
Apart from the latest, there are 17 wildfires active in the province, 16 are in Labrador and one is on the island of Newfoundland.

A Department of Forestry social media post says 13 of these wildfires are being monitored, classified as held or under control.
Air and ground crews have been working two other fires at Miron River, two to three kilometres from the Trans-Labrador Highway. These are in an area about 77 kilometres from Labrador City.
A wildfire at Shallow Lake was the largest in the province as of the last official update. It is about 10 kilometres north of the highway and nearly 100 kilometres from Labrador City. It is just under 6,130 hectares at last report.
Listed as held, crews have needed to stay atop a fire 41 kilometres from North West River at Mokami. Crews are similarly working a fire on the south side of the Churchill River, in an area about 25 kilometres from Churchill Falls.
For all the ongoing activity, the province has called staff from Newfoundland to Labrador to help with the fire responses. Water bombers and provincial helicopters have also been sent North.
A bird dog aircraft from New Brunswick is also working the Labrador fires.
