Canada is showing so much more energy here, snapping at the Moroccans' heels and breaking up their plays.

Morocco is largely looking for long through-balls and quick turns of pace from its front line, but nothing is coming together for them so far.

Is that one-less day of rest and the extra-time minutes against the Netherlands already showing?

Shortly after resumption of play, Crépeau was forced into making a diving save on a deflected shot by Rahimi.

The Canadians aren't letting Morocco settle into a rhythm. They're pressing intently and sharp in the tackle. 

There have been a few signs of the Moroccans' electric pace from the likes of Hakimi and Saibari, but they've been frustrated so far.

Concerning scenes for Morocco as their star frontman Ismael Saibarai is subbed off very early due to an apparent injury. Soufiane Rahimi comes on to take his place.

Saibari scored three times in this tournament, including the only goal in Morocco's 1-0 win over Scotland.

The sub was made minutes after Redouane Halhal was shown the first yellow card of the game.

Alistair Johnston had a free header from inside the box, but his attempt at goal was blocked and cleared by Morocco.

It was another great delivery by captain Eustáquio on what was Canada's fourth corner of the game.

It's humid, rainy and muggy in Toronto — not the best weather to watch soccer. But that didn’t deter hundreds of fans from waiting hours in line to watch this game at Canada Soccer House.

When you ask fans how they're feeling now that we're underway, the first word you’ll often hear is "nervous." They know Morocco is a formidable foe.

The second word you hear from fans here is "excited." The men's national soccer team has already made history by coming this far in the tournament.

Fans in Toronto say they have faith that Team Canada will defy the odds once again.

Jan, I think this is exactly the start Canada would've wanted, minus the goal. 

Coach Jesse Marsch may have called Morocco a team with no weaknesses, but Les Rouges had to show the North Africans they're more than ready. 

I think they've done a good job of that so far, as Bounou is forced to make another excellent save on a Canadian opportunity born from a turnover and great skill by Tani Oluwaseyi.

It's been an excellent, aggressive start for the Canadians. Along with that chance for Oluwaseyi and a glimpse of a goal for David, they've had three corners in quick succession, all of them delivered dangerously into the box.

The Moroccans are winning when it comes to crowd noise, though. The Canadians are being roundly booed whenever they're on the ball.

Yassine Bounou, Morocco's Montreal-born goalkeeper, has had to be sharp early. 

He punched an in-swinging corner kick by Stephen Eustáquio away, and then had to spread himself to deflect a sharp-angled opportunity out from another corner moments later.

It's been a good few opening minutes from Les Rouges.
