Are schools shut in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Dehradun over rain today? Check city-wise status

DElhi and the subject working capital neighborhood (NCR) woke up to monumental rain down Thursday morning that triggered waterlogging in several areas. The same day came as a relief for Mumbai after days of incessant monsoon showers that had caused waterlogging and traffic snarls.On the other hand, Uttarakhand's Dehradun also witnessed another rainy morning. Meanwhile, the ongoing downpour has led to waterlogging, disrupting daily commutes and routines.In Noida's Sector 115, roads were submerged; similar conditions were reported in Ghaziabad, where submerged roads led to traffic snarls.Visuals from Mehrauli–Badarpur Road: As Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and adjoining areas get battered with rain, there is no order yet about the closure of schools in these places."The Delhi Government is working on a war footing to tackle the waterlogging situation. Watch visuals: Notably, all government, government-aided and private schools, along with Anganwadi centres, across Dehradun will remain closed on Thursday after the IMD issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall, PTI reported.The District Magistrate and the District Disaster Management Authority announced the holiday on July 9 (Thursday) for all schools from classes 1 to 12 and all Anganwadi centres.(with inputs from agencies)
