Stars Hollow doesn't exist. But the Gilmore Girls' house does — and it's for sale in Ontario

You tin't displace in with Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, but you can purchase their domiciliate.
The belongings that served as the tight-knit mother-daughter duo's home in the pilot of Gilmore Girls is located just outside Toronto, and it went on the market earlier this month.
The asking price? $3.88 million. And yes, the down payment may require a bargain with your parents that sees you agreeing to torturously judgmental weekly dinners every Friday night.
The 2,840-square-foot home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, three fireplaces and a wraparound veranda. Not bad for a home that was supposed to be a cozy little cottage and, at one point in the series, was on the verge of collapse.
Gilmore Girls aired between 2000 and 2007, followed by a nostalgic four-part miniseries on Netflix in 2016. After the pilot, most of the episodes were filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles.
For millennials of a certain age, Gilmore Girls is the ultimate comfort show to re-watch. It was called the "perfect refuge from COVID" back in 2021, when many people were missing familiar faces and a time when the world's problems didn't seem so big.
The show created an entire world, centered in the fictitious town of Stars Hollow, Conn., a community full of eccentric characters.

Unionville, Ont., where the pilot was filmed, may not have Miss Patty's School of Ballet, but the Century 21 listing, gives the real house a walk score of 91, calling it a "walker's paradise" steps away from a historic Main Street, featuring boutique shops, spas, a scenic pond and yes, of course, cafés. What would a Gilmore Girls fan be without coffee?
Is there a gazebo on Main Street? You know there is.
Keen-eyed fans may recognize more Stars Hollow details around Unionville, but that is far from the show's only Canadian connection.
Montreal-born actor Yanic Truesdale played the role of Michel Gerard, the concierge at the Inn where Lorelai Gilmore (played by Lauren Graham) worked.
Why we're still interested in watching Little House on the Prairie
Saskatchewan's David Sutcliffe played father to Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel), and Lorelai's on-again-off-again love interest.
And remember Sebastian Bach? The former Skid Row frontman who played Gil, the rock'n'roll guitarist of Hep Alien? He was raised in Peterborough, Ont.
Sounds like an opportunity for a truly epic housewarming party.
