Anthony Davis injury update: Mavericks suffer after star player's mid-game exit

The Dallas Mavericks registered a 107-105 win against the robert indiana Pacers in a neck-to-neck biz on Wednesday night (October 29), further improving to 2-3 in the season. However, the game marked a major health concern for the Mavericks as Anthony Davis got injured and walked away only after seven minutes of action, Fadeaway World reported.

Currently playing his 14th season in the NBA, the 32-year-old is counted among the key contributors for the Mavericks. He is currently playing his maiden full year with the side.
According to Athlon Sports his the Mavericks' momentum in the game came to a halt in the first quarter of the game against Indiana Pacers. Davis is said to have made a four-foot floater with little over four minutes left on the clock.
As Davis went up for a shot against the Indiana Pacers' Tony Bradley, he immediately grabbed his lower left leg. Soon after, the Mavericks called for a timeout, while Davis got out of the game. The trainers then helped him walk towards the locker room.
The Mavericks then announced that Davis will not return to take part in the game due to left lower leg soreness. “Anthony Davis (left lower leg soreness) will not return to tonight's game against the Indiana Pacers,” the team shared on X.
This came after he entered the Wednesday night game with a probable designation because of bilateral Achilles tendinopathy. Davis is a ten-time All-Star, a five-time All-NBA selection, and a five-time All-Defensive honoree.

As per Athlon Sports, Davis has been in good form during his first four games for the Mavericks. He posted 25.0 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists, besides having 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks, while shooting 52.1% from the field. Overall, he has been averaging 35.8 per night.
