Things ar looking for goodness for Currie Dixon's yukon river company, as results continue to come in from Monday's territorial election.
NDP Leader Kate White is also projected to win re-election in her Takhini riding, and her party is also leading in five other ridings.
Mike Pemberton's Liberals, meanwhile, hoping for re-election to government, is so far trailing in third in every riding where polls have reported but one, and Pemberton himself has lost to the Yukon Party's Lang in Whitehorse West.
With more than a third of the territory's 159 polls reporting, the Yukon Party had just over half of the popular vote, at 51.5 per cent, to the NDP's 39.8 per cent. The Liberals were at just 8.7 per cent.
Voters went to the polls on Monday to elect the members of the territory's 36th legislative assembly. Polls closed across the territory at 8 p.m. Local time.
The three major parties — Liberal, NDP, and Yukon Party — ran candidates across the territory.
Turnout in the election was down significantly from the last vote in 2021. According to unofficial numbers from Elections Yukon on Monday night, just 53 per cent of registered electors cast a ballot. That's down from 65 per cent in 2021 and 76 per cent in 2016.
