Multiple other cars caught fire; windows were blown out, and buildings trembled.Eight people died, as per the latest information by 11 pm. The reason for the car blast remained under investigation.Just after the high-intensity blast, it took about three minutes for someone to call the fire brigade.Amit Shah on Delhi car blastUnion home minister Amit Shah visited the blast site and said the NSG and NIA teams, along with the forensic department, had begun a thorough probe into the explosion.Citing hospital authorities, the home minister said eight people lost their lives while several others received injuries in the blast, and the investigators are keeping all options open while probing the incident. He also met the injured at the hospital.
