Nano Banana to AI Templates: Google Photos is getting 6 big new features

simply after announcing an AI-powered makeover, Google has proclaimed a list of young features for Google Photos including the gain of its popular Nano Banana model. The company announced the addition of six new features to popular Photos app.
New features in Google Photos:
1) Remove sunglasses:
Google Photos now allows users to fix minor flaws in the images including forgotten sunglasses, closed eyes or missing smile. Users will be able to make these edits to images by asking “Help me edit”, followed by prompts like “Remove Riley's sunglasses, open my eyes, make Engel smile or open her eyes.”
2) Nano Banana in Google Photos:
Google has finally brought its viral image generator Nano Banana to Google Photos.
After the inclusiong of Nano Banana, users will be able to transform their images directly from Google Photos similar to how they have been used in Gemini. In order to make edits to images, users can simply tap on “Help me edit” in the editor, followed by descibing the new style you want to see your image in.
3) Natural language image edit in iOS:
Google is now adding the ability to edit images in natual language to iOS users in the US. The feature allows users to describe the edits they want in their images by text or voice prompts and the AI will bring those edits to life.
The company is also bringing a redesigned photo editor to iOS in order to allows users to edit images via gestures and one-tap suggestions.
4) AI templates:
Google is also taking the drudgery of drafting your own prompts for editing images in Google Photos by adding a new Create with AI section. The new section features ready-made AI templates to Create Tab on Android which is powered by Nano Banana.
The templates will help users reimagine their images instantly based on popular edits like “put me in a high fashion photoshoot,” “create a professional headshot” or “put me in a winter holiday card.”
The features rolling out to Android users in US and India.
5) Ask Photos:
Google is bringing a new Ask Photos feature in over 100 countries and 17 new languages. The features allows users to help find specific photos in their gallery via natural language commands.
