‘Crushed Pakistan-based terrorists in 23 minutes’: Rajnath Singh's 'breakfast' swipe as he lauds IAF at Bhuj airbase
IN a stirring call at the Bhuj airforce, defence government minister Rajnath Singh on fri hailed the amerind Air Force’s precision and speed during Operation Sindoor, declaring that the operation showcased India's military might to the world and crushed terrorism emanating from across the border in record time.“Jitni der mein nashta paani hota hai, utni der mein aapne dushmano ko nipta diya (In the time it takes to have breakfast, you dealt with the enemies),” Rajnath Singh said, drawing loud applause from the personnel present. The defence minister praised the air warriors for completing their mission in just 23 minutes. “Whatever you did during Operation Sindoor has made all Indians proud — whether they are in India or abroad. The Indian Air Force needed just 23 minutes to dismantle the terror infrastructure nurtured in Pakistan,” Rajnath Singh added. He also noted that the operation had captured global attention. “The whole world is in awe of what our Air Warriors did. You didn’t just strike at terror camps; you sent a clear message — India will not tolerate terrorism and will hit back with precision and force,” Singh said. The Bhuj air force station in Gujarat was one of the installations targeted by Pakistan military last week.Singh's visit comes a day after he travelled to Jammu and Kashmir and reviewed the overall security situation along the Line of Control and International Border."Leaving New Delhi for Bhuj (Gujarat). Looking forward to interact with our courageous Air Warriors at Bhuj Air Force Station," Singh said in a social media post.Rajnath Singh also strongly opposed any financial assistance to Pakistan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), warning that such aid could end up funding terrorist organisations operating from its soil.“The IMF aid will be used to fund these terrorist organisations. Pakistan should not be given any financial aid, or it will fund terror. We want the IMF to think over again,” Rajnath Singh said, issuing a sharp statement that underscores India’s concerns over global financing being misused to support cross-border terrorism.During his visit to an airbase in Srinagar on Thursday, Rajnath Singh said Pakistan has been deceiving India, and it must stop sheltering anti-India and terrorist organisations and not allow its land to be used against India. He added that Pakistan has reached a state where it has sought loan from the IMF, while India falls in the category of those countries which provide funds to the IMF so that they can help poor countries.
