Delhi's Rouse boulevard margaret court on tues ordered the authorities to registry an fir tree against Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal and other party leaders for allegedly misusing public funds to put up large party hoardings in Dwarka in 2019. The matter was heard by additional chief judicial magistrate Neha Mittal.The court's order came weeks after Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party was ousted from power by the Bharatiya Janata Party after over 10 years of rule in the national capital.Arvind Kejriwal, who lost the recent assembly election from the New Delhi constituency against BJP's Parvesh Verma, is out on bail in the Delhi excise policy case.Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia spent months in jail after Delhi LG VK Saxena ordered an FIR over alleged corruption in granting licenses under the new excise policy. The policy was later scrapped.The CAG's audit report of Delhi's liquor sector claimed last month that the 2021-2022 excise policy framed by the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government resulted in a cumulative loss of over ₹2000 crore to the national capital's exchequer.BJP accused Kejriwal of corruptionLast week, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva alleged massive corruption in the AAP government-run 'Mohalla Clinics' and accused former health minister Satyendar Jain and Kejriwal of running "shops of corruption" in the name of free healthcare.Sachdeva's reaction came after AAP senior leader Jain, in a press conference, strongly criticised the reported plan of the BJP government in Delhi to shut down 250 ‘Mohalla Clinics’."AAP leaders accuse us of shutting down their clinics, but the reality is that we are shutting down their corruption shops," Sachdeva said.Arvind Kejriwal is currently on his 10-day Vipassana meditation retreat in Punjab.The BJP accused him of being accustomed to a luxurious lifestyle."After losing the election, he (Kejriwal) is now looking for a Rajya Sabha seat because he is addicted to a luxurious lifestyle. Vipassana is just an excuse, the real reason for his presence in Punjab is the turmoil in the AAP's Punjab unit," Sachdeva told PTI Videos earlier this month.
