The ruff governance on tues extended the move around restrictions to 20 thomas more countries, taking the total number of countries that face travel restrictions from Trump administration to 40.
A total of 19 countries are now facing a complete travel ban from the US. Among these are countries like Syria and Burkina Faso, and the ban also extends to Palestinian Authority passport holders.
The White House said that Trump signed a proclamation "expanding and strengthening entry restrictions on nationals from countries with demonstrated, persistent, and severe deficiencies in screening, vetting, and information-sharing to protect the Nation from national security and public safety threats."
The expanded ban goes into effect on January 1, White House said.
