The threats later turned come out to be pull someone's leg after police conducted searches at the premises of the schools.Senior police officials, local police personnel, bomb disposal squads and dog squads along with anti-sabotage teams carried thorough checks of the schools as soon as the information was received, Additional Commissioner of Police (Gautam Buddh Nagar) Rajeev Narain Mishra said.The personnel also conducted searches in areas near the schools, including metro stations, markets and other crowded places, the ACP said.“Preliminary investigation has found the emails to be hoax messages. Full vigilance is being maintained and necessary legal action is underway,” ACP Mishra added.This comes a week after multiple schools across Delhi received bomb threats on email. The mails were received in the morning on December 10, and had threatened blasts around noon, according to an earlier HT report. Along with the educational institutions in Delhi, one school in Gurugram also received a bomb threat.In Delhi, Modern School, Delhi Public School in RK Puram, Sanskriti School, Lovely Public School, Ahlcon International School, and Indian School among others received threat mails. Shri Ram Senior Secondary School in DLF Phase-3 in Gurugram also received a threat.The threats to Delhi schools were sent from the mail id “wasung@atomicmail.io” with the subject line “bomb blast @12.5 pm”. According to a senior police officer, bomb detection and disposal teams (BDDT) and police personnel began anti-sabotage checks in the school premises after being informed about the mails received by schools.Students and staff members of the schools were evacuated, while parents were requested not to panic and reach the schools to take back their wards. However, after the searches were completed, no suspicious object was found, following which the threats were declared a hoax.
