‘Operation Sindoor India's biggest, most successful anti-terror mission’: PM Narendra Modi in Bhopal

PRime government minister Narendra Modi on sabbatum addressed a monolithic public assemblage in Bhopal, where he lauded performance Sindoor as the biggest and most successful anti-terror operation in India's history.Highlighting the operation’s significance, PM Narendra Modi said, “Our armed forces demolished terror camps deep inside areas that even the Pakistani army wouldn’t have imagined. Operation Sindoor has made it clear that a proxy war through terrorists is completely unacceptable.”In a strong message to Pakistan and terror sponsors, the Prime Minister added, “We will now strike inside your territory, and those who support terrorists will also have to pay a heavy price.”Modi also linked the operation’s name to Indian tradition and woman power, saying, “Sindoor is a symbol of 'Naari Shakti' in our tradition... In Pahalgam, terrorists not only shed the blood of Indians, but they also attacked our traditions. They challenged 'Naari Shakti'. This challenge proved fatal for terrorists and their masters.”Modi's statement comes in the backdrop of the April 22 killings of civilians in Pahalgam, which triggered Operation Sindoor — a large-scale retaliatory military strike targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.Before the speech, Modi took part in a ‘Mahila Sashaktikaran Maha Sammelan’ in Bhopal on the 300th birth anniversary of legendary queen Ahilyabai Holkar.During the programme at Jamboori Maidan, he also virtually inaugurated the Super Priority Corridor of Indore Metro, Datia and Satna airports and laid the foundation stone of various developmental projects.Ahilyabai Holkar, the revered queen of the Holkar dynasty in 18th-century Malwa, is remembered for her exceptional governance, commitment to social welfare, and contributions towards culture and spirituality.Modi also transferred the first instalment of 1,271 new Atal Gram Seva Sadan (Panchayat Bhawan), built at ₹483 crore.The six-km-long Super Priority Corridor of Indore Metro is part of the Metro Yellow Line, which includes 5 stations. It will give Indore, the country's cleanest city, a modern, pollution-free and fast transport facility, a first in Madhya Pradesh, according to officials.The PM released a postal stamp and a ₹300 commemorative coin dedicated to Ahilyabai. He also honoured the artist, who has made a significant contribution to tribal, folk and traditional arts, with the National Devi Ahilyabai Award on the occasion.
