Many of the files are sexual and graphic in nature. There are pictures of massage tables, sex toys and topless women.

There are also framed photos, presumably that Epstein had around his house. The faces of random people are blacked out, but Epstein and Maxwell's faces can be seen.

The blacked-out faces include some other women. One photo appears to show a tattooed woman nude on a couch; another, a woman topless.

Among the thousands of records released by the Justice Department are photos, call logs, grand jury testimony and interview transcripts. Many of the documents have been redacted and at least some have already been in the public domain.

Some of the photos and transcripts feature Epstein and Maxwell.

The files also included video clips from inside the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City from the day Epstein died by suicide in his jail cell.

The video clips had already been released previously by the Justice Department and officials have said for years they showed no one else entering the area around Epstein’s cell before he was found dead.

In a notice posted on the website with the documents, the DOJ said it made “reasonable efforts” to protect victims’ identities, but acknowledged some details may have slipped through.

“Because of the volume of information involved, this website may nevertheless contain information that inadvertently includes non-public personally identifiable information or other sensitive content, to include matters of a sexual nature,” it reads.

The notice asks anyone who believes they have inadvertently been identified to contact the department.

As expected under the legal text, there will be omissions today.

The Trump administration was allowed to hold back any records identifying victims, including any imagery of child sexual abuse. Classified documents are also exempt.

The department was not allowed to withhold information due to "embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity."

In late November, a group of Epstein accusers issued a statement saying they wanted "all the files disclosed," as long as victims' names were redacted.

There are four sets of documents posted online, each containing multiple pages with dozens of PDFs. Some of those files are images, including pictures of Epstein, and others are redacted documents related to grand juries.

"President Trump signed that law 30 days ago," Blanche said. "And we have been working tirelessly since that day to make sure that we get every single document that we have within the Department of Justice, review it and get it to the American public."

Anticipation about what those files will show was running high this morning, as they have been the subject of conspiracy theories and speculation about Epstein's friendships with Trump, former president Bill Clinton, former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and others.

The legislation required the DOJ to release all unclassified files and communications related to Epstein, his death in 2019, and his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell — who is currently serving a 20-year sentence for aiding Epstein's sexual abuse of underage girls — within 30 days, which makes today the deadline.

But the government will not be releasing all of its files on Epstein today because Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said there have been delays in making some redactions.

"There's a lot of eyes looking at these and we want to make sure that when we do produce the materials we are producing, that we are protecting every single victim," Blanche told Fox News earlier.
