Also on X, the DOJ appeared to call into question the "validity" of the letter from Epstein to Nassar that mentions Trump.

The department said it was looking into the "alleged letter" and noted the postmark on the letter is from Virginia, "not New York, where Jeffrey Epstein was jailed at the time." It also said the return address is not the jail Epstein was held in at the time.

The department also said the letter did not include Epstein's inmate number, which it says is required for "outgoing mail."

Finally, the department said, "the envelope was processed three days AFTER Epstein's death."

Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is questioning why the identities of 10 alleged Epstein co-conspirators have not come to light yet in the Justice Department's release of documents.

In a post on X, Schumer included screenshots of redacted emails the DOJ sent in 2019, during Trump's first term, that mentioned it was looking into 10 people who may have helped Epstein in his crimes.

"Who are these 10 co-conspirators? Why haven't we seen those memos? Where are the grand jury records? Where are the FBI records? What are they hiding?" Schumer wrote today.

"Tens of thousands of files released shed no light on who they are. More questions than answers."

Latest batch of Epstein documents released by U.S. Justice department

The U.S. Department of Justice has released the latest batch of documents from its investigations into sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, revealing U.S. President Donald Trump travelled on Epstein's private jet at least eight times between 1993 and 1996, according to an email in the release from a U.S. Attorney. Shortly after releasing the latest trove, the Justice department stated some documents contain 'untrue and sensationalist claims' against Trump.

The Department of Justice's defence of Trump has raised the eyebrows of some observers who are questioning its political tone.

"Technically, this tweet is coming from our government. But it sounds like and reads like it's coming from Trump's lawyers," Joe Walsh, a Trump critic and former Republican congressman, said on social media. "Trump has so completely corrupted our Justice Department."

Kyle Cheney, senior legal affairs reporter for Politico, called it a "bizarre defensive post."

He added that if any claims linked to Trump did have credibility, "then pursuing them, by definition, wouldn’t be weaponization."

Following the latest release of documents, the DOJ posted Tuesday morning on X that "some of these documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election.

The DOJ continued: "To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already."

A spokesperson for Larry Summers, who was listed as one of Epstein's executors, said the economist "had absolutely no knowledge that he was included in an early version of Epstein’s will."

According to a document prepared by the U.S. Department of Justice and sent to authorities in the U.K. In April 2020, law enforcement were pursuing disgraced Canadian fashion mogul Peter Nygard for his involvement in a possible international sex trafficking ring when they found a royal connection.

"On at least one occasion, Prince Andrew travelled to Nygard Cay in the Bahamas, a location where Nygard is believed to have trafficked minor and adult female victims," the American agent writes to a British counterpart.

"U.S. Authorities seek to question Prince Andrew regarding his visit(s) to Nygard Cay during the time period under investigation, and other information he may have about Peter Nygard and related individuals."

Nygard was convicted of sexual assault by a Canadian jury in 2023.

U.S. Authorities also sought to question Andrew in connection with the Epstein investigation. This document states that there is "evidence that Prince Andrew engaged in sexual conduct involving one of Epstein's victims."

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has never agreed to be interviewed by U.S. Law enforcement — and documents in this tranche reveal frustration with how the then-prince was publicly characterizing how supposedly co-operative he was with the Americans pursuing Epstein.

I found one of Epstein's wills (there appears to be several different versions in this document dump) dated Nov. 18, 2014, which was years after he served time in a Florida prison for procuring a child for prostitution.

Epstein named Lawrence (Larry) Summers, seen above with his wife and filmmaker Woody Allen, as his executor. Summers, a prominent economist, served as the U.S. Treasury secretary in Clinton's cabinet. Later, he was president of Harvard.

Summers stepped down from a teaching role at Harvard in November after a previous tranche of documents suggested he stayed in contact with Epstein well into 2019 — as law enforcement were again pursuing Epstein for sex trafficking.

The will also lists James E. Staley as an executor.

That's likely a reference to Jes Staley, the former CEO of Barclays, a top British bank, who resigned in 2021 following an investigation into his relationship with Epstein.

There are emails in here from Jes Staley to Epstein that reveal just how close the two men were — even after it was established Epstein procured minors for sex.

In a July 2010 email, after Epstein was released from prison but while he was serving time on house arrest, Staley said he had "fun" during a recent apparent visit.

"Say hi to Snow White," Staley wrote. "what character would you like next," Epstein replied. "Beauty and the Beast....."

"well one side is availble," Epstein said. "Is she free tonight?" Staley responded. "call me," the disgraced financier told the banker in response.

Later, in December 2010, Staley said it was "nice to have u free. Much to come."

"Please know that I am an friend forever. You are very special," Staley told Epstein on New Year's Eve.

Staley has already been banned from the U.K. Banking sector for playing down his relationship with Epstein.

This update includes graphic language referencing sexual assault.

I've found a letter Epstein wrote to what appears to be sex offender Larry Nassar, a doctor who worked for the U.S. Women's national gymnastics team and was convicted of assaulting hundreds of young athletes.

The handwritten card, which appears to have been sent sometime in August 2019 according to the accompanying prison mail document, references Trump.

Epstein tells Nassar that he will know by the time he receives this letter that he has "taken the 'short route' home" — a possible reference to his suicide. Epstein died in his prison cell on Aug. 10 of that year.

"Good luck! We shared one thing … our love & caring for young ladies and the hope they reach their full potential," Epstein wrote.

The letter continues: "Our president also shares our love of young, nubile girls. When a young beauty walked by he loved to 'grab snatch,' whereas we ended up snatching grub in the mess halls of the system."

The letter is signed: "Life is unfair. Yours, J. Epstein."

In an undated email, Maxwell told what appears to be Doug Band, a former counsellor and chief adviser to Bill Clinton in his post-White House years, that she wants to have dinner with him.

She is writing to him on what appears to be an official government email address.

"We'll have the slutty Spanish girl which will be nicely counter balanced by the cool poised Swedish type," Maxwell wrote to Band.

"Let me know when you next go to Europe as I do have some interesting and fun friends that you could hook up with."

Several photos of Clinton with what appears to be young women were released last Friday in the first tranche of Epstein files.

Clinton has not been accused of wrongdoing by survivors of Epstein's abuse, and he has denied knowledge of the late financier's sex offences.

In another February 2002 email, the person believed to be Mountbatten-Windsor is again corresponding with Maxwell about an upcoming trip to Peru.

Maxwell relayed that a contact in Peru was asking about what kind of "girls" he wanted while in the country.

"About the girls... How old is he?" the Peruvian asks Maxwell. "I doubt it that he will find someone."

Later, "A" tells Maxwell: "As for girls well I leave that entirely to you and" the contact.
