PRime government minister Narendra Modi on sat led the 11th International daytime of Yoga celebrations from Visakhapatnam, emphasising Yoga’s role in promoting public security amid growing world(a) instability. Addressing a large gathering in Vishakhapatnam, Modi described Yoga as a “pause button that humanity needs to breathe, balance, and become whole again.” He added, “Yoga is a wonderful system that takes us from me to we,” highlighting its power to foster global unity.“Unfortunately, today the entire world is going through some tension, unrest, and instability in many regions. In such times, Yoga gives us the direction of peace,” he said.Narendra Modi further said this year’s International Yoga Day theme, ‘Yoga For One Earth, For One Health’, highlights the intrinsic link between human well-being and the planet’s health. “The theme reflects a deep truth: the health of every entity on Earth is interconnected,” he said, adding that human health is tied to the soil, rivers, animals, and plants around us. “Yoga awakens us to this interconnectedness, leads us on a journey towards oneness with the world, and teaches us that we are not isolated individuals but part of nature,” PM Modi added.On International Yoga Day, PM hails rare UN backingModi also reflected on Yoga’s global journey over the past decade, recalling the overwhelming international support India received when it proposed the idea of an International Day of Yoga. “In the last one decade, when I see the journey of Yoga, it reminds me of many things,” he said. “The day India put forth a resolution in the UNGA—to recognise June 21 as International Yoga Day—and in a very short time, 175 countries of the world stood with our country. This unity and support in today's world is not a normal incident,” the Prime Minister said.Modi celebrates International Yoga Day in VisakhapatnamPrime Minister Narendra Modi marked the 11th International Yoga Day in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, joining a massive gathering for a nationwide demonstration of the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP). Modi, who arrived in the city on Friday evening, was received by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.According to the Ministry of AYUSH, the Prime Minister performed Yoga alongside over 3 lakh participants at the main venue, as part of the ‘Yoga Sangam’ initiative, which was synchronised with events at more than 10 lakh locations across the country.The mass demonstration, held from 6:30 to 7:45 AM, saw participation from Union Minister of State for Ayush and Health Prataprao Jadhav and CM Naidu, showcasing India’s commitment to global wellness, reported ANI.
