The 83rd Golden Globes are taking place this evening at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, with an 8 p.m. ET ceremony and red carpet arrivals starting two hours prior.
As the event that kicks off the 2026 award show season, the Golden Globes celebrate the best of both television and film from the past year.
Comedian and actor Nikki Glasner is returning as host for a second consecutive year — after making history last year as the first woman to host the show solo.
The top nominee this year is the Leonardo DiCaprio-led film One Battle After Another, with nine nods, followed by the films Sentimental Value, a Norwegian family drama with eight nominations, and Sinners, a Ryan Coogler-directed vampire tale with seven.
On the television side, HBO's The White Lotus leads the field with six nominations, closely followed by Netflix's British drama Adolescence with five.
There's also a new category this year for best podcast.
In Canada, the Golden Globes will air on City TV — on both traditional cable and streaming on its website — or through Amazon Prime. In the U.S., the show is airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
