It's shaping up to be another big day for Team Canada tomorrow, with five finals over the course of the day. Here's what you can expect on Wednesday:
In figure skating, the ice dance free skate is tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. ET. Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier will compete, as will Marie-Jade Lauriault and Romain Le Gac — who competed for France at PyeongChang 2018 — and Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha.
'The connection is real': How a medal-winning speed skating relay team comes together
Kim Boutin says the work she and her teammates put in together in training and the trust they have in each other are essential to their success. Boutin, Florence Brunelle, Courtney Sarault, Félix Roussel, Steven Dubois and William Dandjinou took silver in the short-track speed skating mixed relay at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

This Spanish figure skater did a Minions dance at the Olympics
Tomàs-Llorenç Guarino Sabaté's short program was hilariously inspired by the Minions.
Spanish figure skater Tomàs-Llorenç Guarino Sabaté was able to bring his Minions-themed performance to the men's short program today
Sabaté donned a yellow-and-blue outfit resembling the mischievous henchmen from the Despicable Me franchise while skating to music from the films.
Sabaté had to persuade Universal Studios and producer Pharrell Williams to grant him the rights to skate to a medley of music related to the Minions. He got final approval last Friday, according to The Associated Press.
Sadly, the Minions won't be back at this Olympics: Sabaté's short program score of 69.80 was not enough to qualify him for Friday's free skate.
Canada's Stephen Gogolev qualifies for the men's free program in 10th place at Milano Cortina 2026
Toronto's Stephen Gogolev scored 87.41 points in the Olympic men's short program to finish in tenth place, and qualify for Friday's free program.
In other Olympics news, the figure skating men's short program ended with Gogolev in 10th place, easily qualifying for Friday's free skate.
Ilia Malinin of the United States dominated the short program, scoring 108.16 ahead of Japan's Yuma Kagiyama (103.07) and France's Adam Siao Him Fa (102.55).
Malinin has already taken home gold at these Games after his performance in the men's free skate helped the U.S. Win the team event on Sunday.
Friday's free skate, which will decide who medals in men's figure skating, starts at 1 p.m. ET, with Gogolev scheduled to take to the ice fifth.
Canada has to regroup quickly from that loss. The team wraps up the preliminary round with a game against Finland (the one rescheduled from last week) on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. ET.
It looks likely Canada will now finish second in its group. That would set them up for a quarterfinal matchup against Germany, the second-ranked team in Group B.
The Americans will finish first, having outscored its opponents 20-1.
We just heard from frustrated Canadian forward Sarah Nurse, who said her team needs to be better in the defensive zone, and more creative.
Despite starting the third period with a power play and pressing hard in the final minutes of the game, Canada couldn't claw back the Americans' significant lead.
It's the first time the U.S. Has shut out Canada in Olympic history, and the Americans' biggest margin of victory over their rivals in the Games.
This game marks the first women's Olympic hockey game where three Black hockey players hit the ice at the same time: Edwards, Jacques and Nurse.
Edwards, a defender from Wisconsin, is the first Black women's hockey player to represent the U.S. At the Olympics.
Edwards scores a screamer for the Americans.
That'll do it for Desbiens, who is relieved in net by Emerance Maschmeyer.
This is the fifth power play of the game for the U.S., one of which has ended in the goal from Simms. Another shot has rung off the post, but Canada cleared the puck to centre.
We heard from assistant captain Jocelyne Larocque at the intermission, talking to Claire Hanna about what Canada needs to do better in the third.
“A big thing is keeping our feet moving, establishing a forecheck,” the defender said. “I found when we got pucks deep and we were on them, we were able to create those turnovers.
"I think we need a little bit more poise with the puck once we create those turnovers. These games, it's about focusing on what's going well but also focusing on what we need to tweak.”
