OK, a lot happened in that excellent ninth end for Canada.

It started with second Gallant hitting two great shots to put the pressure on Britain. A missed double by Britain’s Grant Hardie, followed by a perfect take out and roll by Canada third Kennedy really tightened the screw, leaving Canada lying three.

Mouat then got only one of the Canadian stones on a double takeout attempt, and left a hit for Jacobs on the final stone of the end to potentially score four.

Jacobs made the hit for three to put Canada up 8-6.

These veteran Canadian curlers stayed patient. Then, they pounced on the Brits. It's a massive three in the ninth end and an 8-6 Canada lead. Here comes the finish.

Canada is sitting three with the hammer. Great Britain takes a timeout.

This could be the game in these next two shots. Crucial. Pivotal. Massive. You get it. Here we go with the finish of the ninth end.

The Brits are missing and the Canadians have the hammer. This is a crucial part of the game. Oh my, my, my.

There's something brewing here for Canada in the ninth end, folks. The Canadians are in a really good spot right now with the hammer, trailing Great Britain 6-5.

Deep breathing has started.

Another end, another force as the battle of wills between Canada and Great Britain continues. Who will play hero?

Mission accomplished for the Canadians in the eighth end: Great Britain is forced to a single to take a 6-5 lead.

Canada has the hammer in the ninth end. Oh baby, is this intense.

Canada was forced to take one point in the seventh end after another perfect shot by Mouat on his final stone. The intensity rose another notch heading to the eighth end.

Team GB is making 91 per cent of its shots according to the shot tracker, Canada is at 84 per cent.

This has been extraordinary stuff. A masterclass in curling by both teams.

Canada is forced to a single in the seventh end. It's tied 5-5 going into the eighth. Great Britain has the hammer. Who's going to blink first?

At the Cortina Sliding Centre, athletes in the two-woman bobsleigh event have just completed their third run of four, with Germany in the running for a podium sweep.

Defending Olympic champion Laura Nolte and Deborah Levi are currently in gold-medal position with a cumulative time of 2:51.19, and fellow Germans Lisa Buckwitz and Neele Schuten are 0.35 seconds behind.

The U.S. Team of Kaillie Armbruster Humphries — a former gold-medallist slider for Canada — and Jasmine Jones are in third, 0.54 seconds off the leaders, but another German pair, Kim Kalicki and Talea Prepens, are less than a hundredth of a second behind in fourth.

Canada's three teams are more than two seconds off the pace. Bianca Ribi and Skylar Sieben sit in 11th place, while Canada's other pairs — Cynthia Appiah and Dawn Richardson Wilson, and Melissa Lotholz and Kelsey Mitchell — are tied in 13th.

It'll be a tense fourth and final run, starting at 3:05 p.m. ET.
