Holi horror in Nagpur: Woman throws scalding hot water on grandson for spraying colour on her | On cam

THe playful fete of Holi turned come out to be a horror for a four-year-old boy in Koradi country of territory Nagpur in Maharashtra on midweek as his grandmother poured hot water on him as she was angered because the boy sprayed paint on her.The incident, which occurred on March 3 in Ward No. 2 of the Aramshin area, was captured on a CCTV camera, News agency PTI reported.Also read: White House says Spain agreed to join US in Middle East ops. Spain denies claim: ‘Our position not changed one iota’The boy was reportedly playing outside his house with a spray bottle filled with paint when he accidentally sprayed it on his grandmother, Sindhu Thackeray, who was filling a bucket with water heated on Holi wood. Police said this enraged her and she poured the boiling water on the boy.Om suffered severe burns below the waist and was admitted to a private hospital in Nagpur. Doctors estimate 45% burns. The child approaches her and tries to spray colours on her to which she responds by throwing water from the bucket on him. The child shrieks in pain and jumps away from the woman. Another woman with a bucket, probably with cold water, approaches and throws cold water on the child in a bid to ease his pain. Viewer discretion is advised (HT could not independently verify the authenticity of the video) 11 injured in BarabankiIn another violent incident linked to Holi, at least 11 people were injured in UP's Barabanki district when dispute over playing with colours turned into a violent clash between two groups, according to reports.Two groups were engaged in a verbal duel over playing with colours which quickly escalated into a violent confrontation as the groups allegedly attacked each other with sticks, batons and iron rods for about 10 minutes, PTI reported, quoting police. The incident triggered panic in the area. Prompting the locals to intervene and control the situation.While the situation is under control, a local named Avdhesh told PTI that members of the rival group entered his house when there were no male members and assaulted his family. He claimed that when he and others arrived there and tried to intervene, they were also beaten up.
