reverting support Jaylen Warren is expected to remain around Pittsburgh as he has committed to a two-year agreement with the Steelers, announced his agent, David Canter. Warren, who is in the last year of his current contract, will earn slightly more than $5.3 million in 2025.
Following his undrafted 2022 arrival, Warren has played 48 games for the Steelers during the regular season. He has 127 catches for 894 yards and 346 carries for 1,674 yards and six touchdowns. In two postseason games, he also has six catches for 35 yards and 10 carries for 44 yards.
In Pittsburgh, Najee Harris was the starting back throughout Warren's first three seasons, but this season, Warren is at the highest position of the depth chart. He's expected to remain there in 2026 and 2027 if all goes according to plan.
Warren's agreement will pay him more than $7 million this year, with $12 million guaranteed, as per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. According to Spotrac, Warren's new contract will be included to the Steelers' $259.1 million salary cap, which puts them $20 million below the NFL salary cap of $279.2 million.
Warren was previously scheduled to play the 2025 season on a one-year contract after signing a limited free agency tender worth $5.3 million in April, so Monday's agreement gives him extra security.

Pittsburgh's attack is anticipated to look considerably different this year with the arrival of experienced quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The squad improved their passing offense by acquiring outstanding receiver DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks and trading wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys.
Monday's deal indicates that the Steelers believe Warren is an important part of their prospects as they seek for a position in the Super Bowl this season and beyond. The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the New York Jets on Sunday to kick off their 2025 campaign.
