US chairperson Donald ruff has refuted that his theme song is on a letter of the alphabet supposedly given by him to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“It's not my signature and it's not the way I speak and anybody that's covered me for a long time knows that's not my language,” Trump told reporters. “It's nonsense.”
Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday released the letter, written more than 20 years ago, to the public. The White House has denied its authenticity.
The note showed some texts written on what appeared to be a woman's figure, referenced a "wonderful secret" and was signed by 'Donald J Trump'.
The alleged letter, released by the Wall Street Journal, formed part of a book compiled for Epstein's 50th birthday.
Trump, who was friends with Epstein before becoming president but had a falling out with the former financier years before his death, has denied giving him the letter.
Earlier today, the White House also denied that Trump wrote the letter to Epstein and added that it would support a forensic analysis of the signature.
Karoline Leavitt, the president's spokeswoman, told reporters on Tuesday that the White House would back an analysis of the signature to prove Trump right.
"The president did not write this letter. He did not sign this letter," she said, according to Reuters. "The president has one of the most famous signatures in the world, and he has for many, many years," she added.
The release of the document and others related to Epstein has once again drawn attention to an issue that has become a major political headache for the president.
Even though Trump has encouraged his supporters to drop the issue, there remains a strong interest in information about Epstein's crimes and who else may have been aware of or involved with him.
