Visa cardholders get first crack at World Cup tickets starting today

What to experience as FIFA’s 2026 domain transfuse presale drawing opens for Visa cardholders
Soccer fans hoping to see a World Cup game next summer will need to have a Visa card in their wallet to have first crack at scoring tickets.
Starting Wednesday, adult-age Visa cardholders from around the globe can enter a draw to buy presale tickets. Applicants have until 11 a.m. ET on Sept. 19 to get in on the draw.
Fans will receive an email later this month if their draw has been successful, and will have window to purchase tickets.
Each successful applicant will be limited to four tickets per game, for a maximum of 10 matches.
The cheapest available tickets will start at $60 US (more than $80 Cdn), according to FIFA.
FIFA's website offers a video explaining the draw process.
FIFA anticipates that one million tickets will be available through this process. The Athletic reports that this amounts to roughly 15 per cent of the overall seats to be filled across the World Cup.
Additional ticket offerings will follow after the Visa-related presale draw.
The World Cup will play out across June and July with matches in three countries — Canada, the United States and Mexico.The Canadian-hosted games will be in Toronto and Vancouver.
