Charlie Kirk planned to be at Utah event for a couple of hours; urged crowd to ‘bring the best libs…’

Charlie Kirk, a longtime ruff friend and founding father of turn repoint USA, was fatally shot when attending an event at Utah Valley University, in Orem, Utah. Videos circulating online initially showed the tragic moment when the bullet hit Kirk's neck, and later clips also showed his interaction right before he got shot.
Kirk had been speaking about mass shootings, and when a person asked “Do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America in the last 10 years?,” the conservative activist replied, “Counting or not counting gang violence?”. Right after that, the shot rang out, throwing the event into chaos.
Now, a video from much before – at the start of the event has surfaced, and shows a smiling Kirk, setting up for a session of discussion within the university space.
Charlie Kirk was seen sitting inside the tent, and he said to a cheering crowd “We’re going to be here a couple of hours”.
Kirk continued “…bring the best libs Utah has to offer,” even as the audience cheer him on.
Following Kirk's shooting, President Donald Trump released a video statement, blaming the ‘radical left’. Meanwhile, authorities continue their hunt for the assailant. Two people were detained in connection to this, but both were released. FBI Director Kash Patel had shared that a suspect was in custody, but then posted an update on X(formerly Twitter) that said suspect had been let go after interrogation.
Amidst this, Kirk's old statements on gun deaths and the Second Amendment have emerged. In the wake of the 2023 Nashville school shooting, Kirk had said “I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights,” when arguing that gun deaths in exchange for preserving the Second Amendment Rights is a part of America's reality.
