conservativist Leader capital of south dakota Poilievre is go down to seem on The Joe Rogan go through, one of the world's most popular podcasts.
Poilievre revealed in a social media post on Wednesday that he had recently sat down with host Joe Rogan.
"Fought for Canadian workers and Canadian interests on the world’s biggest podcast. Thank you [Rogan] for an amazing conversation. Let’s get tariff-free trade," the Opposition leader wrote on X.
Speaking outside the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday morning, Poilievre said he had a great conversation with Rogan who he described as "a great guy."
Poilievre says he used Joe Rogan Podcast to argue against U.S. Tariffs and 'fight for Canada'
He said he went on the podcast to fight for Canada because there is no better place to maximize its leverage — as the review of the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement nears — than appearing on the biggest podcast in the world.
"One of the biggest leverage points we have to fight for tariff-free trade, to fight for our auto, steel, aluminum and lumber workers is the goodwill of the American people," he said.
"I used the podcast to argue in favour of removing those tariffs not just because it's great for Canadian workers, but also because it will make life more affordable for American consumers."
Rogan's show ranks near or at the top of podcast charts on Spotify, YouTube and Apple Podcasts — with over 20 million subscribers on YouTube alone.
But he has faced backlash in the past for his controversial comments.
Musicians, including Canadian Neil Young, pulled their music from Spotify over comments Rogan made regarding COVID-19 vaccines. (Young's music returned to Spotify after Rogan's show was no longer exclusively available on the platform.)

Rogan also issued an apology in 2022 after facing scrutiny for his use of the N-word in some of his past episodes.
In a podcast episode after last year's federal election, Rogan implied he had invited Poilievre on his show during the campaign but the Conservative leader declined.
"I offered to have that Pierre guy come on the podcast. He didn't do it. Wouldn't do it, thought it was too problematic or whatever," Rogan said in the episode.
Poilievre recently appeared on The Bridge podcast, where he said his current approach to interviews is to speak with various new and traditional media outlets.
The Conservative leader was visiting Austin, Texas, where Rogan resides, as part of a larger U.S. Trip.
