The Richmond, B.C. Native took gold at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo on Saturday morning, racing to a time of two hours 28 minutes and 22 seconds in the men's 35-kilometre race walk event.
The 34-year-old crossed the line inside National Stadium with a smile on his face and a Canadian flag draped over his shoulders.
Dunfee had previously finished fourth at the 2023 worlds in the same event, and won bronze in the 50km race walk in 2019.
