From the Grammys to the Junos, Bieber's Swag comeback has left him without golden trophies this year.

Last night was a battle of the pop stars, as Bieber went into Juno weekend with six nominations, but was completely shut out by Tate McRae, who took home major wins such as album of the year, single of the year and artist of the year at the Juno Awards Gala, the industry awards that take place the night before the Junos.

McRae's album So Close to What also beat out Bieber's Swag II for pop album of the year.

Although 2025 was a major year for Bieber with his two surprise albums Swag and Swag II, it's McRae who has been touring and promoting her album with interviews (including a Rolling Stone cover story), while Bieber mostly promoted his new projects on social media. Bieber is up for the fan choice award tonight.

You can read our full recap from the Juno Awards Gala here, and a list of all award winners here.

The Junos orange carpet is winding down now, but it’s been great to see Canadian labels like Lesley Hampton, Heather Bouchier and Sagradesa represented. There were also a lot of winning black-and-white looks, along with some bold moments in red.

For a recap of all the must-see looks, plus as many designer and styling details as we could snag, see our full roundup.

Martin is a Toronto-born standup comedian, actor, screenwriter and singer-songwriter. They're best known for creating and starring on Netflix series Feel Good and Wayward as well as their 2023 Juno-nominated comedy special SAP

Last year, Martin channeled their insightful storytelling into their debut album, I'm a TV. Co-written and produced by Canadian rock band the Darcys, Martin's songs explored nostalgic themes over gentle acoustic indie rock sounds.

Expect to see Martin combine their love of comedy and music on the Junos stage tonight.

With '90s minimalism back in a big way, it's no wonder that Sarah McLachlan stepped out in a low-cut, spaghetti strap floral gown on the orange carpet. The musician won a Juno yesterday for the adult contemporary album of the year.

I'm on the ground in Hamilton sharing all the need-to-know moments from tonight's broadcast. I'm most excited for all the stellar performances and tributes in store for us!

There are a few history-making moments for you to keep an eye out for at these awards. The Beaches could make history and become the first all-women band to win group of the year three years in a row at the Junos. Last night, Begonia and Bahamas tied for their award (adult contemporary album of the year), which hasn't happened in 20 years.

We'll see a rare appearance from the icon of Canadian folk, Joni Mitchell, who is returning to the Junos stage for the first time in 45 years to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

It's the first Junos for country newcomer Cameron Whitcomb and he's already doing pretty well so far with five nominations, one win and the chance to take home two more awards tonight, for breakthrough artist of the year and Juno Fan Choice.

The Toronto quartet, nominated for group of the year and fresh off a win for rock album of the year, each leaned into their own distinct style.

From left: Jordan Miller wore a Kwame Adusei gown; Leandra Earl wore a leather jacket by Won Hundred; Kylie Miller wore a Sagradesa skirt; and Eliza Enman-McDaniel wore a gown by The Sei.

The rumours on the ground are that the Junos have some big surprises in store this year.

We've already seen Prime Minister Mark Carney on the orange carpet, and Rush shared a cryptic message to their fans on Saturday that something "special" was going to happen tonight. So we'll just have to wait and see!

Billy Talent receives Humanitarian Award at 2026 Juno Awards

Dave Baksh and Jason McCaslin of Sum 41 present Billy Talent with the Humanitarian Award at the 2026 Juno Awards. The Juno Awards convey Canada’s Biggest dark in euphony to the spic-and-span TD Coliseum in sir william rowan hamilton, Ont. Hosted by Mae Martin, experience electrifying live performances from some of the country’s biggest names, including Allison Russell, Arkells and The Beaches, Cameron Whitcomb, Daniel Caesar, Sarah McLachlan, William Prince, and more. Plus, don’t miss special appearances by Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Joni Mitchell and Canadian Music Hall of Fame Inductee Nelly Furtado.

this evening you'll escort billy goat Talent use up the Junos represent as presenters, but at last night's gala the band had a different honour: receiving the Humanitarian Award, presented by Sum 41's Dave Baksh and Jason McCaslin.

Members Benjamin Kowalewicz, Ian D'Sa, Jonathan Gallant and Aaron Solowoniuk were recognized for their yearslong work with various charities, and their support of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, an organization that's especially personal for the band as drummer Solowoniuk has been living with MS for over 25 years.

Kowalewicz concluded the band's moving acceptance speech by thanking punk rock for shaping their sense of community and teaching them "the delicate art form of not giving a f--k and giving a f--k at the same time."

A nominee for breakthrough artist or group of the year, Sofia Camara wore an oversized pinstripe suit by Canadian label RW&CO. Styled with a necktie and wallet chain.

The rapper and producer wore an eye-catching cow print jacket on the orange carpet, styled with leather pants, oversized sunglasses and a large pendant necklace.

The past few days have seen more people out in Hamilton than usual — especially in the streets around TD Coliseum. But it's unclear just how much of a financial boost the awards have been for the city.

Local organizers said the Junos are expected to have an economic impact of about $12 million, largely spent at hotels, music venues, bars and restaurants. The city said it expected all 2,200 hotel rooms would be sold out.

The last time the Junos were in Hamilton was 2015. This city has hosted the second-most Juno Awards after Toronto, but it took four years of work to bring the awards back.
