Three people were injured in the commotion that took place at the programme, which was held in Raxaul.According to reports, chaos erupted on the fourth day of the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha at the city's airport ground and turned into a near-stampede situation at the main entrance as Aniruddhacharya was making his entry into the marquee.The entrance gate broke due to the pressure of the crowd. However, the police force present at the scene intervened and brought the situation under control shortly, with two or three people sustaining minor injuries.In another major stampede incident last year, 41 people died after getting crushed amid overcrowding on September 27 in Karur district of Tamil Nadu, during a political rally organised by actor-politician Vijay's party TVK. The event, which drew a massive crowd at the designated venue, turned chaotic, resulting in the death of 41 people and injuries to scores of people.Vijay later offered his condolences via social media. He said, “I express my deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of my dear brothers and sisters who lost their lives in Karur. I pray for a speedy recovery for those undergoing treatment in hospital.”
