He was seated next to long time collaborator and friend, Rani Mukerji, who incidentally, also received her first Best Actor National Film Award for her work in 2023 release Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. SRK's maiden National Film Award win this year came in tow with Vikrant Massey — also being felicitated with his first national acting honour in the same category, his for tearjerker 12th Fail. While the internet is of course abounding with applause and congratulations for SRK's National Film Award, also among the first was a very special dedication from none other than wife Gauri Khan. Taking to her Instagram and sharing a handsome photo of SRK, probably snapped before he headed to New Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan, Gauri marveled at his journey in front of the camera and behind it, also quipping how she would now be putting her professional interior design skills to work, designing a mantle specially to hold his national accolade. Her caption read, "What a journey it’s been @iamsrk. Congratulations on winning the National Award!!!So deserving… it’s a result of your years of hardwork and dedication. Now I’m designing a special mantle for this award".And we couldn't agree more!
