THe much-awaited teaser of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana was eventually unveiled on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti 2026 at a grand set in motion in bombay. The teaser showed the number one seem of Ranbir as Lord Rama and has since received mixed reactions from the audience. In an interview with Times Now, actor and politician Nitish Bharadwaj, who played Lord Rama in B. R. The film is one of the most ambitious projects in Indian cinema, and the two-part epic is reportedly being made on a budget of ₹4000 crore.Before the grand unveiling on Thursday, the teaser was screened to a select audience in Los Angeles earlier in the week. There, talking about working on Ramayana, Ranbir revealed he had initially hesitated to take up the role, thinking he was not ready for it. However, the birth of his daughter Raha changed his decision. “I remember when Namit offered me this part around 4 years ago, my instant reaction was ‘No’, I'm not fit enough, not good enough, and I won't be able to do full justice,” the actor said.Ramayana Part One is slated to release in October 2026, ahead of Diwali. The concluding second part will release next year.
