Euphony composer Shaan Rahman, known for his act on Nivin Pauly’s Om Shanti Oshana and Dulquer Salmaan’s billie jean king of Kotha, released a financial statement after a dupery case was filed on him at Ernakulam South Police Station by event director Niju Raj Abraham of Arora Entertainment. According to a Manorama Online report, he and his wife, Zaira Shaan, denied all accusations and called them baseless. He claimed that all allegations against him were fabricated to manipulate and force him into settlement. He emphasised that his team faced numerous issues during the recent Kochi concert organised by Niju on January 25.Their statement read, “We wish to address the misinformation being spread regarding the Uyire – Shaan Rahman Live in Concert, held on January 25. From the beginning, we faced many challenges in organizing this event, including a conflict with Mr. Niju Raj Abraham (Arora Entertainment). The case is currently under investigation by Ernakulam South Police Station. We have maintained transparency, cooperation, and integrity throughout the process. However, Mr Niju Raj Abraham has been misleading the media and the public with false claims.”Shaan ended the note by reaffirming his faith in the legal system and stated that his legal team is handling the matter. He urged the public and media to ‘avoid speculation based on one-sided narratives’ and wait for further updates.The ₹38 lakh fraud case filed on Shaan RahmanA Cinema Express report states that event director Niju filed a police complaint against music composer Shaan two weeks ago. He alleged that Shaan failed to honour a financial agreement related to Uyire – Shaan Rahman Live in Concert.The complaint alleges that Shaan withheld payment despite collecting over ₹38 lakh in ticket sales, while Niju’s company incurred ₹34 lakh in production and operation expenses. The music composer was reportedly granted anticipatory bail on condition that he appear before investigators, which he is yet to fulfil. Niju also alleged that he was threatened.
