niagara falls Falls testament be a last block in an upcoming cross-country circuit to celebrate the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Canada Celebrates Tour will travel across the country, stopping in 34 communities that will host events, which will include live game screenings, music and food. According to FIFA, the tour aims to bring soccer fans together to boost national spirit and connection through the sport.
FIFA announced the tour last week and said it will begin on June 1 and run throughout the duration of the tournament until the championship game, to be held in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 19. There will be two legs of the tour, which will stop in communities in every province and one territory, before wrapping up with two-day events in Niagara Falls and Brampton, Ont.
“As a Canadian, it’s incredibly meaningful to bring a taste of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to communities across the country and ensure Canadian residents can be part of this historic moment,” Vittorio Montagliani, FIFA Vice-President and Concacaf President said in a press release.
“Beyond hosting matches in Toronto and Vancouver, this FIFA World Cup will create a legacy for football in this country — inspiring the next generation and growing the game for years to come.”
Toronto and Vancouver are among the 16 cities across Canada, the United States and Mexico that will host a combined 104 games during the expanded 48-team tournament.
According to the release, FIFA will provide more specific details about the events being held in each community at a later date.
Last week, FIFA kicked off another nation-wide event in Vancouver with the unveiling of the FIFA trophy tour. The trophy — usually kept at the FIFA Museum in Zurich — will make its way across the country with stops in Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal, Halifax, Ottawa and Toronto before May 26.
